Reproduce the problem briefly

Use a short test instead of regenerating the whole document. A useful test case here is: A downloadable course handout containing ordinary paragraphs. Keep a copy of the original so every edit is reversible. Note what you expected to hear and what you actually heard.

Check the source first

  1. 01

    Inspect the input

Try selecting a sentence in the original PDF. Compare the affected passage against the original document.

  2. 02

    Change one thing

Import the PDF and check the first and last paragraphs. Keep the rest of your settings unchanged so this is a fair test.

  3. 03

    Listen again

Correct line breaks before generating a long recording. Use the same sentence to decide whether the change improved the result.

Separate the symptoms

Text extraction preserves words better than visual layout. A good-looking page can still produce a confusing reading order.

Retest before replacing a recording

When the short test works, apply only the successful change to the longer note. If it still fails, write down the file type, the selected voice, and the exact step where the problem occurs. Those details make a support request more useful.
