Your words deserve a little privacy

Documents and speech in the mobile app
Saved notes and generated audio are stored on your device. Bundled Kokoro speech runs locally. We do not send document text to a speech API. Installed device speech voices are supplied by your operating system and may have their own download or network requirements.
App analytics
The mobile app uses Firebase Analytics for app usage events, including app opens. Notes and document text are not intentionally sent as analytics event content. Firebase processes device and app-instance identifiers, Android advertising identifiers when available, app interaction events, and approximate location derived from a masked IP address for analytics under Google’s policies. The app does not request precise location access.
This website and the browser demo
The website does not send demo text to a VoxNote server. Browser speech is provided by your browser and operating system; some voices may use a network service. Theme and saved-guide preferences are stored locally in your browser. Vercel hosts this website and may process request logs for delivery and security.
Reminders and sharing
Listening reminders are scheduled on your device with your notification permission. When you export or share a file, the selected destination app or service receives the copy you choose to send.
Deleting your data
Delete notes inside the app, cancel reminders, or remove the app to clear its local app data subject to your operating system’s backup policies. Browser site data can be removed in browser settings.
